In most cases it is not economical to transport waste directly from the collection point to the landfill. And since the enactment of Subtitle D of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) resulted in larger disposal facilities in fewer locations, a large volume of solid waste is generated from urban markets which is usually situated some distance away from the landfill.

We utilize transfer stations, thereby reducing the disposal cost to the customer. At these transfer stations, waste is consolidated, compacted and loaded into long-haul trailers for transport to landfills.

This operation improves the utilization of collection equipment by minimizing transportation time and efficiently moving large volumes of waste to disposal sites. Transfer stations, located in cities or counties closer to where the waste was generated, have become "the gates" to these disposal facilities.
